Bro Drives Over Trump Sign And Records It…Police Charge Him
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Wilmington police cited the man Wednesday who allegedly crashed into a Donald Trump campaign sign on Oleander Drive in Wilmington.
Julien Thomas Schuessler, 20, was charged with a hit and run, reckless driving, failing to maintain lane control.
Schuessler posted the video at 2:24 p.m. the day of the primary election. It shows him intentionally pulling off of the road and slamming through a Trump sign.
Around 24 hours after it was posted, the video had been viewed over 800,000 times and shared nearly 20,000. By Thursday morning, the video had been watched over 3 million times, and over 75,000 shares.
When asked why he would intentionally pull off the road to hit a Trump campaign sign in such a dangerous maneuver, the driver said:
“I did what I felt was morally right. Spread love, not hate.”
Moral of the story is, don’t record yourself doing illegal things, even if it’s destroying a Trump sign because you think it’s morally right. Like I think it’s morally right to smoke a joint, but you don’t see me taking videos of myself smoking up behind the wheel and posting them onto Facebook…That’s what Snapchat is for, bro.
