I Hate…HATE….These Teens Who Just Seen Windows 95 For The First Time

Woke up this morning and saw this video for the first time and I can honestly say that I’ve never hated a random group of teens as much as I hate the teens in all of my life. Obviously internet life today as 100 times better, faster and stronger than it was in the 90’s. I get that…But the fact that these smug, cocky little bastards never had to wait a lifetime to connect to the internet via dial-up really pisses me off. It’s not that I’m jealous of the fact that they can instantly get on the internet in less than 1 second, it’s the fact that they they’ll never feel the same rush of waiting for that phone line to finally connect to the internet. Although at times it was a bitch that it took what felt like hours to connect, they’ll never appreciate that same feeling we felt when we finally came home from school, connected through the internet via  AOL and heard this…

. To me, that exact moment is probably the closest thing to opening the gates of heaven. That exact moment when in time when you had entire world by the balls.

Today’s kids will never know what that was like. They’ll never really appreciate the internet and how far it’s come over the past 20 plus years.

Actually, you know what? The more and more I think about it, I really don’t hate today’s teens. Kind of makes me feel good actually. Knowing that we got to grow up during the golden era of the internet, and they didn’t, actually makes me feel like I’ve got a chip on my shoulder. So while in all honesty, I was jealous for a few minutes. But the more and more I think about it, THEY should be the jealous ones. It’s like when you hear an old head talk about music back in the 60’s and 70’s and how good and pure it was….Hearing this sound makes me feel like that:
